You and Kiku were having some talk-anime time when the topic of how you two met just happened to come up. (me: This part is pretty much ONLY about how you two met each other)
Flashback OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
You were a freshman in high school and you had met a bunch of rude girls that you called “friends”. They absolutely loved to put you in random situations and see how you would react and treat the situation. They especially loved to throw you into big groups of people that they knew, but you didn’t and walk off without you. This is how you met Kiku and his group of friends.
Third Person Pov lol
Kiku was also a freshman and made a bunch of very kind, slightly obnoxious, weird friends thanks to his older half-brother, Yao. There were others, but his main friends were Ludwig and Feliciano. Kiku had just emigrated from Japan and he still had a very, VERY thick accent. He was just sitting at lunch with his friends when the “stupid girls”, as he had been taught by his friends, pushed a very cute looking girl with pretty (h/c) hair and very charming (e/c) eyes to his table. He could tell she was a freshman too, judging by her air of embarrassed shyness. He suddenly felt a little nervous because he didn’t talk to many girls. His best friends, Feli and Ludwig, noticed him staring at her and pushed him to go talk to her. After a little bit of arguing, Kiku finally decided to humor his friends and go up to the girl.
“H-Hi… I’m ____.” She had her head tiled slightly downward and to the side while looking up at him. He blushed as he saw her tuck some stray hair behind her ear. He thought she was absolutely adorable, but he didn’t know that she was thinking the same thing about him when he blushed.
“O-oh. Herro. I’m Kiku… Nice to meet you, ____. I-I just moved here from Japan.” They exchanged smiles. Then the crap hit the fan.
POV CHANGE AGAIIIIIIN
Explanation: You, being westernized, usually shake your hands when meeting a new person. Kiku, being Japanese, usually bows when meeting a new person. He thought you were very pretty, so he wanted to show a lot of respect toward you and bow at a ninety degree angle. Now, if you add nervousness to this combination, it makes these actions at least twenty percent faster and more forceful.
As Kiku quickly and firmly brought his torso down to bow to you, you stuck your hand out very fast and very, very hard. Of course. Of course, you two just HAD to be in the perfect positions for you to hit Kiku RIGHT on the forehead. And of course, you just HAD to swing your hand hard enough to give him a lump on his forehead. A loud “WHAP!” sound echoed throughout the cafeteria. Everyone turned and gave a confused look toward you two. You two. You two. Even I’m sighing as I write this. Anyways, everything became a jumble of “sorrys” and “gomennasais” as you led him to the school nurse. After that, he was sent home, but there were no hard feelings between you two. The next day, you were actually welcomed into the group when you brought him some extra food as an apology. From that day on, you were always known as “you two”. It was always very obvious to everyone but yourselves that you two had feelings for each other. And any attempt to subtly confess your like-like (love) for one another was simply brushed off as a joke. It would take you years before you two would learn how to stop being so naïve and to get rid of your low self-esteem. Anyways, you two went through a series of awkward events, but that’s something for another time.

Japan x Reader: Cosplay Calculations
You lay on the carefully hand made mat of bamboo in your friend, Kiku’s room as you were flipping through some manga he had laying on his kotatsu. Though the manga was still in japanese, the pictures were nice to look at... Even if you hadn’t really the slightest clue what they were saying. Kiku had taught you a little bit of his language but it’s nothing too useful; just things like kawaii, Senpai, Oniichan, and something he would never explain what it was. He advised never to speak it and never to look up what it meant. Kiku also warned not even to think it, because “it’s such a bad word for a sweet girl like y

Kiku was an observant man and in the case of his pregnant wife he was extra vigilant in case something needed to be done. So when large amounts of food from the fridge began to disappear he had to approach the problem cautiously. He knew (y/n) ate more now that before, but this wasn't like a few servings extra, it was more like half the fridge. He wanted to ask her if she had cleaned out the fridge but from experience he knew it wasn't the smartest thing to do. Instead he decided to figure out if it really was you. The crime was done around the time he went to work, so he decided to stake out the place. He was currently outside his house, usi

(y/n) was just about to get into bed when she heard the front door opening downstairs. No one should be at home, Kiku was at a world meeting and wouldn’t be back for a few more days. The cleaning lady did her work in the mornings so it couldn’t be her. If it wasn’t them, who would just walk into her house...was she being robbed, could that be a robber?
Grabbing one of Kiku's decorative swords and unsheathing it she slowly walked out of her room, not turning on any lights. She walked to the end of the hallway, trying to calm her overactive imagination of possible scenarios that were getting bloodier and bloodier every second
